Considered to be an exceptionally talented student, he made his debut at the age of fourteen, continuing his studies with such famous Russian teachers as Yuri Yankelevich and Zinaida Gilels, later perfecting with renowned violinist Leonid Kogan at the Moscow Conservatory.
