After graduating from the Prague Conservatory, class of Dagmar Z\u00e1rubov\u00e1, and the Prague Academy of Art and Acting, class of Ivan \u0160traus, he continued his studies in various foreign institutions: first in Utrecht with Keiko Wataya, later in L\u00fcbeck under Shmuel Ashkenasi. At present he is in the last stage of master’s studies under Stefan Picard at the “Musikhochschule Hans Eisler” in Berlin.During his studies he attended numerous master’s courses under prominent musicians. He graduated from the International Academy of Music in Montpelli\u00e9r (Ruggiero Ricci, Stephen Shipps), took summer courses in Semmering (Hagai Shaham) and attended an international master’s course by Keshet Eilon (Ida Haendel, Georgy Pauk, Vadim Gluzman). He managed to use all the experience gained during his studies in numerous musical competitions . He was awarded the Second Prize and four special awards at the Prague summer competition (“Prague Spring competiton”) in 2003, won the “Yamaha Scholarship” award in 2004, became the “Poet Laureate” of V\u00e1clav Huml’s ” International Competition” in Zagreb, and in 2005 won the Second Prize in the “Ibolyka-Gyarfas” competition in Berlin. In 2007, he placed third in the ” International Violin Competiton Pablo de Sarasate” in Pamplona.In addition to the above-mentioned awards, Pato\u010dka was chosen by the 14th year committee of the ” German Fund of Musical Instruments competition” and was lent for use a violin by Enrico Ceruti (Cremona 1845), a donation recognized by Bleu de Brasil, Fazenda Iparanga.Roman Performs as soloist with prestigious orchestras in the Czech Republic and abroad (Hamburger Symphoniker, Filharmonie Nagoya, La Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Navarra, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Czech Radio Symphonic Orchestra, Prague Philharmonia). He has worked together with Ji\u0159\u00ed B\u011blohl\u00e1vek, Vladim\u00edr V\u00e1lek, Jakub Hr\u016f\u0161a, Douglas Bostock, James Blair, Yoko Matsuo and Hideaki Hirai. Together with Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Sir Carles Mackerras Pato\u010dka, he performed Leo\u0161 Jan\u00e1\u010dek’s “Little Souls’s Wandering” . He cooperated with the “Chamber Orchestra Berg” on Bohuslav Martin\u016f’s “Premi\u00e9re Czech Rhapsody” for violin and orchestra. As a chamber musician, Roman Pato\u010dka has collaborated with leading Czech musicians Ji\u0159\u00ed B\u00e1rta, Jan Talich, Radek Babor\u00e1k, Martin Kas\u00edk and Lubom\u00edr Mal\u00fd. He represented the Czech Republic at the international performance ” EXPO 2005″ in Aichi, Japan. Pato\u010dka and has performed at numerous festivals: “Les Heures Romantiques au Pays” in Monthodon, “Lange Nacht der Musik” inVienna, “Les Journ\u00e9es Romantiques du Vaisseau Fant\u00f4me” in Pargi, “Shafran Festival” at Waldenburg Castle , at the Chopin festival “Mari\u00e1nsk\u00e9 L\u00e1zn\u011b”, at the “Prague Music Festival” and others. Roman Pato\u010dka has recorded numerous pieces for Czech Radio, BBC Radio 3, ORF, Radio 4 Netherlands, Romanian Radio and for Japanese TV NHK. In 2006 with pianist Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Lagard he recorded a CD with music by Beethoven, Suk, Dvo\u0159\u00e1k, Bart\u00f3k. <\/p>\n
