Ruben Tsangaris

Ruben Tsangaris works in the fields of set design and spatial design, at the intersection of artistic research and technical execution. His work explores the relationship between space and perception, intertwining physical experience and the visual dimension to create environments that encourage audience interaction and participation. Drawing on a background that combines architecture, engineering, and event production, he oversees every project from conception through execution to final documentation. As a creative producer, he transforms ideas into functional systems and concrete design solutions, blending content, space, technology, and interaction into coherent and integrated experiences. With a focus on feasibility, process integration, and attention to detail, he coordinates the dialogue between creative teams, technical staff, and external collaborators, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and technical requirements are met. His work includes immersive light installations, walk-through sculptures, event architecture, and communication projects, as well as set designs and musical theater productions created in collaboration with composer Manos Tsangaris. Film and graphic design round out his artistic practice, extending his design and communication research to various forms of expression. In addition to his design work, he serves as CEO of dublab.de, an online radio station that is part of an international cultural network—an experience that fuels his approach to interdisciplinary collaboration and shared artistic production.
