Born in Sendai, Japan from an early age, she learned music from her grandmother and mother.
Since 1989 he has studied Tadao Sawai and Kazue Sawai.
While studying at Sophia University in Tokyo, she toured the world (Austria, Ukraine, Russia, Switzerland, Germany and France and Central and South America) as a member of the Sawai Kazui Koto Ensemble, and joined Recordings.
She graduated from the NHK (Japanese National Broadcasting Company) School on the use of traditional Japanese musical instruments and earned a master’s degree in that field with the highest grades.
She was chosen as a model student by the Cultural Affairs Agency and has received awards in various competitions.
His activities range between performing contemporary pieces, composing new pieces for koto, collaborating with other musicians and artists from other fields (dance, drama). He plays classical koto music, classical chamber music, modern and contemporary music, improvisation etc., and has a wide repertoire.
In 2007 she attended the “Fellowship student under the Japanese Government Overseas Study Program for Artists” and went to Frankfurt (Germany) where she learned contemporary ensemble music at IEMA (International Ensemble Modern Academie) and expanded her knowledge of modern music.
He now lives in Frankfurt and regularly performs and teaches tenure both in Germany and Tokyo (Japan)
In 1997 he performed his first Recital. In March April 2003 he performed in a duo with Shin Ichikawa (4 commissioned pieces including a premiere in Japan). In February 2004 he performed “Whale tone Opera first act” produced by Makoto Nomura. In March 2005 he recorded “Tradition and Future” On Site Labo Collaboration series vol.1 “Tradition and Future” On Site Labo Collaboration series vol.1 (at Tokyo Wonder Site under the Metropolitan Government.), in April of the same year he performed a Live “with Piano and Marimba”. In July he participated in IEMA(International Ensemble Modern Academy) in Tokyo” and “17 CROSS 25” (17 koto and 25 koto compositions in Duo), in December he performed a second recital “Voice, Sound and Breath” (commissioned by Keiko Harada for a new piece for Koto and Soprano).
In 2006 it undertook the “Balkan tour” Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro – six countries in total. In each country the Embassy supported the “Whale tone Opera all act. In December of the same year she performed in “The 4th Asian Performing Arts Festival” in Taipei.
In October 2007 she became a “Fellowship student under the Japanese Government Overseas Study Program for Artists” and moved to Frankfurt, Germana where she joined IEMA(International Ensemble Modern Academie)..In February 2008 she embarked on the second “Balkan tour” – Serbia, Bosnia and Hercegovina,Republika Hrvatska(Croatia). He was part of the “Guitar art Festival 9th (Belgrad),Winter Festival (Sarajevo) . In February March composed and conducted for the drama “Neige d’Ete” ( Summer snow) in Theatre de Meilmontant(Paris) director Daniel Mesguich and Satoshi Miyagi.
