Since his first cello lesson at age five, Andreas has continued to develop a fascination and love for the instrument. While still very young, he was at under the wing of legendary cello teacher Eldar Issakadze at the David Oistrach Academy in Ingolstadt. This teacher not only gave Andreas a solid and precise technique, but also encouraged him to develop his love and respect for the cello. In 2005, thanks to his hard work, Andreas was admitted to Prof. Stephan Haack’s class. Shortly thereafter, Andreas won second prize at the German National Youth Competition, followed by first prize the following year.
At the age of fourteen, Andreas entered the Stuttgart Academy of Music and followed his teacher Jean-Guihen Queyras to the Freiburg Academy of Music in 2011.
