Min Jae Sul Christopher
He made his debut at the age of 12 with the Zerkalnyy Zal Chamber Orchestra in St. Petersburg, Russia. After studying at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, Minjae Sul moved to Vienna to continue his studies at the Vienna Conservatory of Music. There he received a diploma from the jury as the best graduate. After graduation, he moved to Augsburg to continue his music education at the Leopold Mozart Center. During his studies, he won the Julius Berger Prize for his excellent grades and graduated again with top honors. Minjae Sul has also won numerous international competitions including the “London International Composers Competition” and the “International Sviridov Competition” and has been recognized for his skills as an outstanding cellist. In addition, he participated in chamber music classes with Stefan Mendl (Vienna Piano Trio) and Johannes Meissl (Artis Quartet), who supported him in his further chamber music performances. In addition, he has attended numerous master classes, such as with Frans Helmerson and Arto Noras, to continuously develop his musical skills. Minjae Sul is currently enrolled at the Kalaidos Musikhochschule in Zurich, studying with Prof. Julius Berger and Prof. Hyun-Jung Berger. He has also performed with his Rimsky-Korsakov Ensemble on various stages, such as at Andong Arts Center, Sejong Center and Kumho Art Hall. He has also participated in the Asiago Festival, Lindau Garden Show Festival, Benidorm String Festival, Shizuoka Art Hall, Yanaka Hall in Tokyo and performed as a soloist at Charisma Chamber Hall in Australia. Minaje Sul is currently continuing his musical activities in Europe and Asia. As a member of AKPO, he continued to perform under conductors Dennis Russell Davies and Lorenz C. Aichner in concerts at the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Brucknerhaus Linz and the Vienna Musikverein, among others. Today he is a member of the Cello Passionato Ensemble, thus finding an ideal balance between his musical abilities as a soloist and chamber musician. Minjae Sul has been active with his ensemble in various countries, such as Germany, Austria, Japan, Korea, Switzerland, Russia, Australia and Italy.
