Matthew Varagnolo
Matteo Varagnolo was born in 2002 in the province of Padua. He began to approach piano at the age of 9 and in 2015 he started his Organ studies at the “A. Buzzolla” Conservatory in Adria. In 2017 he moved to the “C. Pollini” Conservatory of Padua, where he is currently attending the third year of the Academic Triennium of Organ under the guidance of M° P. Turetta.
He has played in various concerts and music festivals as a soloist and accompanist. He has taken part in masterclasses given by internationally renowned concert pianists, including D. Roth, L. Lohmann, J. Guillou, and W. Zerer. In 2019, he won first prize ex-aequo in Category A at the 1st International Organ Competition “Friuli Foundation,” chaired by O. Latry, and in 2021 first prize at the 2nd International Organ Competition “Fiorella Benetti-Brazzale – City of Vicenza,” chaired by G. Parodi. He is organist at the Cathedral of Piove di Sacco (PD).
