Trio Fire

Trio Incendio was founded in 2015 in Prague by pianist Karolína Františová, violinist Filip Zaykov and cellist Vilém Petras. The trio has won prizes in numerous international competitions such as the “Gianni Bergamo Award” in Lugano, the “Coop Music Awards” in Cremona, the “Concorso Musicale Marcello Pontillo” in Florence, the “Kiejstut Bacewicz Competition” in Lodz, the “Concorso Massimiliano Antonelli” in Latina, and the “Bohuslav Martinů Competition” in Prague. Recently, Trio Incendio was awarded 2nd prize at the “Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition” in Vienna and the “Joseph Joachim International Chamber Music Competition” in Weimar (1st prize was not awarded). The trio is an alumni ensemble of the “European Chamber Music Academy,” which gives them the opportunity to work regularly with distinguished artists and professors such as Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl, members of the Artis Quartet, Julius Berger, Alexander Lonquich, Karla Haltenwanger (Boulanger Trio), Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Stefan Mendl (Vienna Piano Trio), Marianna Shirinyan, Boris Berman, Itamar Golan, Jan Talich (Talich Quartet), Vida Vujić, Patrick Jüdt, Minna Pensola (Meta4 Quartet), Dirk Mommertz (Fauré Quartet) or Hyung-ki Joo. The trio also took part in a masterclass with Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet) and held two sessions of a public masterclass with Alfred Brendel on Schubert’s Piano Trios at the “Rudolfinum” in Prague. One of the masterclasses on Trio No. 1 has already been released on DVD by the “Supraphon” label. Trio Incendio performs both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The young ensemble has already given concerts in some of the most important European venues such as “Philharmonie Berlin”, “Wigmore Hall” or “Rudolfinum” in Prague and has been invited to festivals such as “Ticino Musica”, the chamber music season of “Prague Spring Festival”, “Ohrid Summer Festival” or the Davos Festival. This year it will make its debut at the Verbier Festival as it has been chosen as the chamber music ensemble of the Verbier Festival Academy. Trio Incendio’s concerts are appreciated for their passion, stylistic clarity, and warmth and beauty of sound.
