Jakubowska Malwina
Born in Poland in 1996, she began studying the cello at the age of 10. In 2020 she graduated from Fryderyk Chopin University in Warsaw with Prof. Tomasz Strahl and Prof. Andrzej Wróbel. She is currently studying with Prof. Hyun-Jung Berger, Prof. Edward King and Prof. Julien Chappot at the Leopold Mozart Centre at Augsburg University.
Malwina has won multiple awards at national and international competitions. The most recent was first prize at the “Julius Berger Price” competition in Augsburg. She has performed in many European countries, including Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Italy and Lithuania.
He participated in masterclasses with professors such as Jens Peter Maintz, Frans Helmerson, Philippe Muller, Julius Berger, Kirill Rodin, Valérie Aimard and Claudius Popp.
As a chamber musician he has participated in masterclasses with the Royal String Quartet, Kronos Quartet, Oliver Kern, Ivan Monighetti, Frank-Immo Zichner and Janis Maleckis. In 2017 he recorded the album “Young Virtuosos” together with the piano trio “Mercury.”
Malwina is also very active as an orchestral player. Since 2021 she has been a regular guest of the Wüttembergische Philarmonie orchestra in Reutlingen, Germany.
In 2020, he participated in a month-long tour of China with the “Chopin Chamber University Orchestra.”
