Alberto Barbetta, born in 1987, graduated in Organ and Organ Composition with honors from the Conservatory of Music “A. Pedrollo” in Vicenza under the guidance of Prof. Roberto Antonello and, at the same Conservatory, he graduated with top marks in Harpsichord with Prof. Patrizia Marisaldi. He also graduated magna cum laude in Musicology from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice.
His interest in organ music led him to specialize at the Strasbourg Conservatory with Christophe Mantoux, and later with Aude Heurtematte, where he obtained the diploma Cycle de Spécialisation en Orgue, also taking numerous master classes.
He has won various prizes and awards in national and international organ competitions, most recently the F. Zanin prize at the 4th Organ Competition of Basso Friuli. He edited, for the Armelin publishing house in Padua, the edition of Dieci Pezzi per Organo, an organ album by the multifaceted Vicenza musician Gellio Benvenuto Coronaro (1863-1916). He is organist of the church of Santo Stefano in Vicenza.
